Fugue Theatre is a professional theatre company founded and incorporated as a society in 2004 by Vancouver actor and producer Laura Di Cicco. It operates under the auspices of an elected volunteer Board of Directors. Fugue has produced six shows in its history, on a biennial cycle. Four of these seven were produced as a work-in-progress, followed later with a full mounted production. Originally a collective format, Fugue has grown to employ artists and is moving toward year-round programming
Artistic and Managing Director Laura Di Cicco brings over a decade of experience in artistic administration, direction and management. Her extensive background as a producer, actor and vocalist makes supporting artists and fostering talent a personal priority. She has gained national perspective on Canadian theatre through work in both Ontario and British Columbia; in Vancouver, Di Cicco has helmed three successful, financially viable Equity co-ops.
