Fugue Theatre Call for Submissions

Fugue Theatre is actively seeking Canadian writers and composers to commission within our diverse community for a future music theatre piece. Writers should have experience with play scripts/libretti/lyrics, and composers should have experience in composing for musical theatre or opera. Writers residing in the province of British Columbia will take precedence. We at Fugue Theatre strive to be inclusive, maintaining our platform as a space of allyship and support for the diverse artists and patrons in our community. We are open to submissions from all persons regardless of age, race, orientation. At this time, we are especially interested in starting conversations, and discussing potential projects with writers from the trans/LGBTQ2S/GNB communities.

Fugue Theatre is a project-based organization with a mission to commission and produce original operetta and music theatre, with imaginative conceptions, that endorse diversity of thought and culture. We deal with bold, relevant subject matter, all in an accessible format.
