Artistic Director - Laura Di Cicco

Laura's career as an actor, singer, writer and producer has spanned over 20 years. She graduated from the University of British Columbia and has worked in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver. While in Ottawa, Laura worked with Odyssey Theatre's mainstage and helped found Lazzi Lazzi, a touring wing of Odyssey. As well, Laura worked for the CBC as a freelancer for Radios One and Two. Some of her Ontario credits include Street Legal (tv), Friday the 13th (ff), Turandot (stage), Ondine (stage) and The Audition (stage). By mid-1996, Laura had moved back to Vancouver, acting with theatre companies such as Green Thumb Theatre, Ruby Slippers, Theatre Conspiracy and Axis Theatre. Laura has also played the (in)famous Leni Riefenstahl in Mieko Ouchi's The Blue Light for Keyano Theatre's 2010 season. In 1998, Laura was a co-recipient of a Jessie Richardson Award for a tour with Axis Theatre. Vancouver film and television credits include Saving Milly, The League of Lefties, Noah's Arc and Traveler. In addition to her work as an actor, Laura has performed as a singer in a few productions and has also performed as a soloist. In 2004, Laura founded Fugue Theatre, a theatre company dedicated to the commissioning and production of original Canadian operettas and music theatre.

Wendy Verbaas - President

Wendy Verbaas is a marketing consultant who joined the board of Fugue in 2014. Wendy brings 6 years of previous board experience in various roles and, and is an enthusiastic participant in the Vancouver arts community as a 13 year member of the Vancouver Bach Choir.

Josh Andler - Treasurer

Josh has had a strong passion for business and the arts from an early age. After completing his ARCT diploma in piano performance, as well as working as a performing arts director for several small productions, he attended the Sauder School of Business at UBC to obtain his BCom degree. Josh is currently a CPA candidate at Deloitte Vancouver's audit practice is working towards completing his Masters in Professional Accounting. Josh hopes to use this business expertise to further benefit the arts. He enjoys biking the seawall, keeping up with the latest tech trends, and attending local art exhibitions.

Grant Finnighan - Secretary

Grant is a founding board member of Fugue Theatre, a pianist and a long-time supporter of theatre and music. He also brings deep expertise in technology, leadership and strategy to the board, serving currently as director of product development for a company in the financial technology space.

Jason Mooi

Jason comes from a background of theatre and arts specializing in visual arts from a young age. He is currently working as an Intern Architect in the city and hopes to contribute some business and marketing expertise to the Vancouver arts scene. On his free time, he enjoys finding new inspirations through travels, catching some shows and a good cup of coffee.  

Glen Miller

Glen has an extensive history serving on the boards of various cultural organizations. He was formerly Chair of the North Vancouver Arts and Culture Commission and is  former President of Theatre BC. He is President and Co-Artistic Director of Deep Cove Stage Society and is the current Technical Director for DCSS. Glen is an experienced Production Manager and Lighting Designer.
